Biography

photo - Pierre-Arnaud Dablemont

Born in 1979, Pierre-Arnaud Dablemont began piano lessons at the age of 11 in the École de musique de Boulogne-sur-Mer (France) under the able instruction Veronique Minuet-Stibbe. Veronique's teachings sketched the outline of the artist that he is today. In his own words " Veronique's teachings defined me and you can feel her inluence in my music even today. I owe my first musical revelations to her, like the second and third concertos of Prokofieff, or Ravel's and Debussy's piano music."

He then continued his studies with the Conservatoire National de Région de Lille where he graduated under Marc Lys, in his primary instrument, and subsequently acquired mastery in fields of chamber music (Bernard Gaudefroy), and sonata (Yves Tramon) in 2000. He recalls " When I arrived in Marc Lys' class, I was just raw talent that needed to be channelized,(I even had the long hair). He tried to teach me sobriety but it took a long time before I could absorb it. "

He then went on to spend sufficient time in the class of Francoise Thinat at the l'École Normale de Musique de Paris, after which he was accepted to the prestigious courses of the eminent Hugues Leclère for the piano and of Arthur Aharonian for the accompaniment "After one difficult year, I grew leaps and bounds, both as a human being and an artist. Leclère was a rare combination of humanity and intelligence."

He was also fortunate to receive the precious advice of Bruno Rigutto, Brigitte Engerer, Laurent Cabasso, and Géry Moutier, inter alia. All this made an impeccable impact on him and helped him evolve as a finer artist.

Since 1996, He performs as a solosist in many festivals like the international festival of Montreal (Canada), of Nice (France), Musiques aux sommets de Chamonix (France), He also appears as a solosist in other cities of France and Europe .

The year 2004, marked a significant change in his career, He decided to shift focus and explore other parts of Europe, specifically Czech Republic where he stumbled into the brilliant hands of František Maxian. He now works to improves constantly, with František Maxian at Pražská Konzervatoř, where a significant part of his time is spent, preparing for international competitions. He describes this exprience as " When I was younger, I had several piano recordings of Petr Toperczer, who is currently The Director of the Academy of music in Prague, and a renouned artist. Czech Pianist have been instrumental to my aural training. The František Maxian's teachings enables me to bring to surface my true personality within the piano."
